Community-Based Yurt Camp at Son-Kul: Responsible Stays, Real Impact

Date: October 31, 2025
We’re proud to announce our new summer yurt camp at Son-Kul (operating June–September). Built in partnership with herder families, the camp supports community livelihoods while offering travelers an authentic high-pasture experience at 3,000 m.

What’s included

  • Traditional yurt accommodation with warm bedding and daily meals
  • Horse-trekking loops to panoramic ridgelines and lakeshore sunsets
  • Cultural activities: felt-making demos, kumis tasting, folk music evenings
  • Low-impact operations with solar lighting and a pack-out waste program

Why it matters: Your stay directly benefits local households through fair-wage agreements and seasonal training.
